About

Chas L. J. Morreale is a retired high school chemistry teacher. He has always had a love for the arts, science and technology.  As a boy he was picked by his art teacher, Mrs. Lowe, to attend Saturday art classes at the Carnegie Museum Lecture Hall. These “Tam O’Shanter” classes were taught by the outstanding Pittsburgh art teacher, Joseph Fitzpatrick. Being a Tam O’Shanter artist was an enlightening and life changing opportunity for Chas. At age 13,  he enjoyed the excitement of traveling alone by trolleys from his home in Dormont to the Carnegie Museum in the Oakland region of Pittsburgh. This environment of beautiful buildings including  the Cathedral of Learning, Stephen Foster Memorial and Phipps Conservatory plus the classic sculptures and art sparked a desire to photograph and eventually paint the wonderful sights of Pittsburgh.  He enjoys being a Pittsburgh photographer.
